Preservation Alliance to hold classes at the Woodlands

Our friends at the Preservation Alliance will be holding hands-on demonstration workshops at the Mansion on the grounds of the Woodlands Cemetery. Classes and dates are below.

Masonry and Pointing, Wednesday, September 19, at 6:30pm

Historic Wood Windows, Wednesday, September 26, at 6:30pm

Flat Plaster Repair and Interior Finishes Wednesday, October 3, at 6:30pm

Traditional Roofing, Wednesday, October 10, at 6:30pm

The classes are free, but reservations are required.

Who are we?

The West Philly Tool Library loans tools to community members so they can perform simple home maintenance, tend their yards and gardens, build furniture, start projects, and learn new skills in a safe and affordable manner. We aim to be a community resource to provide home owners, tenants, long-time residents, and newcomers with the tools (and the knowledge to work the tools!) they need.
When are we open?

We are open every Monday through Thursday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Where are we?

We are located at 1314 South 47th Street, Philadelphia, PA. We are in a warehouse on the east side of South 47th Street about 200 feet south of Woodland Ave.
