 Earlier this summer, students from Temple University's Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab came in to do a story on the Tool Library.  You can read their story and watch a two-minute clip of the Tool Library by clicking here.

 The Tool Library will be closed on Monday, July 5th for the Independence Day holiday.

 Congratulations to Tool Library co-founder, Stacey Hendricks, who this weekend married the indomitable Rachel Toliver.  (And kudos to Ben White, another Tool Library co-founder, who celebrated the ceremony, too!)

The folks at the Ford Fiesta Movement just published a map of "Ten Places We Want You to Love" in Philadelphia.  The Tool Library is excited they chose us as one of them.

The Tool Library held its second anniversary celebration on Saturday, March 20, the first day of Spring.  We couldn't have hoped for better weather. 

Join The West Philly Tool Library and over one thousand of your neighbors and fellow residents  for an exciting one-day fair sponsored by our friends at the Preservation Alliance.  

 Just in time for this Saturday's Second Anniversary party, we've gone live with our new website.  Thanks so much to Dave Onion, our tireless web guru, for making it happen.  Check back frequently as we add new photos to the "Our Tools" section.  And if you've made something cool with tools borrowed from the Tool Library, tell us about it in the "Submit Your Project" section.

Join us this Saturday, March 20th from 9-3 for the Tool Library's 2nd anniversary.  To celebrate, we'll be holding a tool yard sale.  

That's right, over the past two years, we've been lucky enough to receive hundreds of tool donations from members and other community members.  And while we're so grateful to everyone for their support, it turns out that we only need so many hammers, screwdrivers, or saws.  To say nothing of the pounds and pounds of nails, screws, tiles, switch plates, and assorted items that we can't use (or can't figure out what they are.)
