Basement renovation

bathroom tile project

bathroom

framing, just the start

We framed, drywalled and tiled a new space. We borrowed a miter saw to cut the 2X4's , a wet saw to cut tile, a vacuum and other small tools. We worked 14 days to do this bathroom.

Simon Gratz High School Greenhouse

Students at Simon Gratz High School borrowed tools from the West Philly Tool Library to set up a green house.

Conquring the DeWalt Jigsaw

Well, first things first: I love the Philly Tool Library. It's a brilliant idea. It's the kind of thing that makes you want to stay in a neighborhood, because that's what neighborhoods are all about -- helping the guy or gal down the street.... just because he/she needs it.

Playground at 47th & Sansom

The Walnut Hill Community Association, in conjunction with the Enterprise Center CDC, Home Depot, KaBOOM!, and several other organizations, planned and built the awesome playground at 47th and Sansom using many tools from the Tool Library in Summer 2009. Patio landscaping

I wanted to share a project I did in my backyard with a sledgehammer and circular saw I borrowed from the Tool Library. I also used a drill, shovel and and level of my own. The materials I needed were 4x4 pressure treated timbers, steel rebar and leveling sand.
